I just don't buy like most of the ladies on here. I don't like to hoard up on material with no project in mind, I do better just buying as I go along. I really can't beleive the pictures of stashes some of the ladies have. That would drive me looney!!!! I occasionaly will buy 1/2 yd of material if I really LOVE it otherwise just prefer to buy for a specific project. Guess i am not normal!!!!!!!

I don't think that you are abnormal. It's just that some of us really love just touching fabric, thinking about it, and admiring it. Just looking it brings us joy. :)

I'd like to join as I planned to make several large scrap quilts from my stash beginning in January but will have to wait awhile. DH gave me a gfit cert. to local quilt shop and I was planning to go there this week to pick out fabrics for quilt for one of my granddaughter's who will be graduating high school in June. I'm in a quilt challenge that is due mid March and thought I'd combine the challenge quilt and granddaugher's quilt. Can't buy any fabric for quite a few days as we're having a blizzard today and tomorrow and it will sometime before I venture out on snowy and icy roads and streets. May in Jersey

7,000 yards of fabric?????? Is that POSSIBLE? I only WISH I had ever seen fabric for $.25 a yard at a garage sale. I have a small box of scraps, nothing close to what you must have. Will you be selling fabric on this site?

I'm all for it - except for the backing part. I'm planning on using my stash for that as well!

I will probably have to buy binding material and batting - but no backing!

I'm not even going to look at the after xmas sales this year - although I could totally use some light blues for sky fabrics.... :D

I will join in but I DO have to buy some specific material for a queen size quilt that I am in the process of making. That is the only "have to" so far planned for this year (2011). Are we going just going to chat on it here or something more structured? Either way is fine with me.
