I got my colorplast boards from purplemem here
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36043-1.htm
They are more expensive than the other options but will be nice and last forever.
Send her a pm and she can tell you about them if she has any left.
See this is another reason I don't get anything done! I check here to often! :-D

Some members have found inexpensive comic book boards at their local comic book store, some use cake boards, some get the cardboard inserts from their LQS, some get coroplast (I think that is what it is called) which is acid-free plastic from a local sign shop (have them cut it for you). There are many options.

I'm using the comic book boards, they are acid free and I get 100 for $6.99. I'm loving the "neatness" of these boards once the fabric is on it. I found fabric I had forgotten that I bought and it's really fun for me to play in the fabric (doesn't take much to make me happy)

Susiequilt: I would like to know what some of the things you mentioned are used for in your sewing room. I recognize some but not all--e.g., the comic book boards. Thanks for any education you might be able to hand out to me. Sue

what method are you talking about? What are comic boards. It all sounds very neat and organized. I'd like to know more such as is there a magazine article on this method. Right now I have the hunt through boxes method and it doesn't work very well.
