I have done the SoCal shop hop several (6) times! 44 shops in a 3 day time span! Went with a girl friend, stayed in hotels, ate out, had a great time. If there were sales, we spent money, if they were crowded wth not enough help to move people quickly in the store, we stamped our cards and left. On to the next store. Look forward to doing it again - maybe next year!!

I went to my favorite LQS and bought some fabric, as I was checking out the clerk asked if I was doing the shop hop, I said 'no', and she asked me again. She finally pulled the sheet out and said she thought I probably would want to start the hop at this store. She gave me fabric for the block, a pattern and then I could pick out a holiday fat quarter. This shop always has great fabric on 50% offf clearance. For example they just had the hungry caterpillar coordinating fabric on sale.
