I bought a pack [2 rolls] of this tape and for the life of me I c/n figure out how to use it. I think the directions are extremely vague. Even my DH, who also quilts, could not figure it out. Please someone help me w/ this problem. Even pics would be great. I know I may be S....L....O.....W. But once I get it I think I can keep it for awhile. :D
    Thanks,
    Bev

Hi Bev: Here's a video on using it which may be more helpful than me explaining it :-) It's a wonderful product!

I watched the video, but I could not get my tape to lay down the first time and it pulled up when I tried to pull the paper backing off. It just would not stay down. I've heard it's great, but I'm really frustrated. I wish that video had backed up to the point of "I'm cutting a 7" strip of tape." How do you get the first layer to stick? I hate to appear so dumb, but ....

I think it has something to do with the age of the tape and the weather. It seems to dry out with time, and the stickiness lessens. Here in SoCA we have pretty dry weather, and I think that makes it less sticky, too. There is a lot of tape on the roll, but I usually purchase a new roll if mine is over 3 months old.

    I like to use it.

Bev, it seems you have a bad lot of tape! It should lay down and stick before you peel the paper off and iron. You can always hold it in place and press, but if you can take the roll back and exchange it you might find a good box.

    So this isn't you! LOL!
