I have been ordering HObb from Connecting Threads......and quite often they have a 30% off sale on all their battings.

At that time, I order and hit the $50. mark so I get feww mailing.

    Can't beat that.....

I bought a roll (90" W) of Warm and Natural cotton from someplace I found online but the name escapes me at the moment. Got a good deal and was delivered to my door. Check out the internet for good prices. I haven't had to buy batting in quite a while:)

I am not fond of JoAnn's fabric anymore, and their prices. I don't have a LQS, so my next choice is Hobby Lobby. I like their selection and their prices are a little better, they do have good sales. They also have a 40% coupon most weeks. Of course it cannot be used on sale merchanise, I use it to buy my batting by the yard when I need it. Most of my fabric buying is on line.

to one & all....UP of Michigan is miles from nowhere, but a beautiful area of God's quilt of the world.....Peggi did not mention that one has to drive over the Mackinaw Bridge to get to shops in lower Mi. My sis & hubby had a motel in Paradise years ago.

Watch Connecting Threads for their frequent batting sales. I always buy a case as their prices are good and the service is great to Canada!

This may sound strange but I get real good batting from overstock.com. It is a good deal, however I don't know if the have your brand. Also I go to the Pellon web site and buy online from them, it is also cheaper than Joann's. Fabric.com, Nancy's Notions and some others have everything I need.I have a Joann's near by but I never go in there any more. The fabric is shoddy and high priced, the batting is high priced even with a coupon, I can get patterns and notions elsewhere on line cheaper and have a larger selection to choose from. Most all my fabric and quilting supplies come direct to me via UPS on the porch and I save on time and gas money. I hate shopping anyway and will always buy online if I can....too bad Safeway does not deliver out here.

Even the polyester batting has doubled in price.

I agree, I found W&N on the roll for about $4.46/yard.

Anyone remember when JoAnnes was Cloth World? Now that was a good store. I made most of my clothes back then because I was still working and bought all my fabric from Cloth World because they had such a great selection.

There isn't a Joanne's near me now and I really don't care. I'm retired now so don't have to worry too much about what I wear daily and besides I have a wonderful quilt shop about 3 minutes from my house.

    Who needs Joanne's
