This is my experience too. Bought my Pfaff in November and it's a joy to sew with, particularly appliqué. HOWEVER I can't get it to FMQ anywhere near as good as my Janome. It's been back at Pfaff a month now. Apparently the hook is not picking up the bobbin thread all the time. They've had it nearly longer than I have........grrrrrrrr.
]I have a pfaff expression quilter great for sewing but hateful for quilting, every time I quilt a quit on it it quits, so sick of this sick machine, being quilting on my Kenny no problem at all, it is a regular sewing machine. I have a brother and he just purrs along sews beautifully .
im red with spite because of the Pfaff that is why I'm typing red.
JMO.

I always tell my kids to make up a pros and cons list when they have a hard decision to make. So list all the features of both machines and all the things you don't like. Also look at the warranty and where the service location is - close to home or an hour away. When you are done, you will know which machine would be the best choice.
