I iron my fabric then roll it on to cardboard wrapping paper tubes or PVC piping. The tubes/piping is wrapped in old plain white sheets before rolling the fabric on. After adding the fabric, I bag it in another old plain white sheet.

I store 1 yard & less size pieces in the plastic rolling drawer things by color and theme for novelties, repros & large multi-color. Yardage & flannel is folded and stacked on plastic coated wire shelving. This is all in a 14' wide sliding door type closet. Batting & fleece is kept in the bag on shelves at one end of the closet. My crochet stuff & miscellaneous is on shelves built into the other end.
