I've not had a problem. Been like that for years. Does hers get hit by the sun maybe?

I have rubbermaid and sterlite totes in solid colors-blue, light blue and green and some clear ones. Never had a yellowing problem with them. Did have a yellowing problem when I smoked in the house years ago. Even my clothes hanging in the closet sometimes turned yellow especially on the shoulders where they hung on the hangers.

I've never had anything turn yellow in tubs either.
