I have a real large collection of threads, about half embroidery and the rest an assortment, I have deen using the odd colors and older threads to paractice fmq, my machine dosent seem to care about the age, color, or cotton or poly. some of these are up to 35 years old and still as strong as most of the newer threads. This morning when I was practicing be for I started a christmas wall hanging I used up a spool of thread on a wooden spool, now how long has it been since they put thread on wooden spools?Use your gift ,I have most of my threads hanging on a wall, away from the light, keep the embroidery thread in a large plastic box under the bed as most of it is the king size spools.

I store in plastic bins, with lids, too. I also use those tool cabinets you can buy at Lowes or Manards. The drawers are big enough for lots of stuff.
I have thread with wooden spools still. I don't use them, lol they are too old. Suppose I should throw them away...naaaawww...
