I used Marti Michel templates but found them a bit confusing at first. I have a Tucker Wing Clipper that I use now and then, but I don't like to do all that trimming. It just seems like a lot of wasted time. One thing I can say about SAS is to take your time. Love the layout you propose!

I made one years ago before all of these special rulers came out but I had been to a retreat where Doreen Speckman taught a class on peaky and spikey so made the piecing easy for me. Was time consuming as I used fish fabric and fussy cut all pieces. It did turn out good anyway I won some ribbons and I would like to show a pic but have never been able to figure out how to do it here

I used Deb Tucker's ruler for my Hunter's Star & was very glad I had it. It was a little pricey but after a couple of blocks it went together really well. I would not hesitate to buy her rulers. The results are worth it.
