String Quilt Border options?

Since the colors in your quilt (which is great, by the way) are evenly distributed, I think you could use any strong color that's in the quilt for the outer border. I like the idea of a white or cream narrow inner border, and I would use a solid or reads-as-solid for both borders.

I do string quilts for charity & don't usually put a border on. Bobbie Aug, a quilt teacher from several years ago, told our guild that "red unifies all colors" & that has helped me a lot since then. I would choose a red binding & skip the border. Just my thoughts . . . Beautiful quilt.

I just put together a string quilt, with black sashing between the blocks. So the first border is black, then I added a thin strip of bright yellow that was in some of the blocks, and then a strip of red that also was here and there in the blocks. I think it looks great! (sorry, my pic is on my cellphone and I haven't figured out to get it from there to here!)
