I love all the string quilts here and each are different. I make mine by using a foundation cotton and then pin my first strip on the diagonal in center, then take another strip turning face to face and stitching 2/8th or wider from the edge, continuing doing this until one side is completed, then turn foundation around and do the other side. Don't forget to press these strips after sewing. I then take a main color, cutting 2 1/2 inch squares using at all the corners of my white lattice work, then a border. After quilting I put my binding on.

Now, that looks like the ones I make. Easy as pie (actually easier). Bright and cheerful. I've also made one side of the block dark and the other light. Wh en I sew the blocks together, they make light streaks diagonally across the quilt.
