    Default Here's one of mine.

I was really pleased with this one and the triangles were really easy to line up in columns.

Default String Quilt as the border

Enlarged the applique pattern from a wall hanging to twin size and used a string border made from jelly rolls.

I started making string blocks on muslin squares. If i sew them together and then use regular batting and backing, is this going to be too heavy and the seams too bulky?

Thank you for this thread. I have wondered what a string quilt was and now I know.

DorisMary...LOVE your triangle string...and the border is fantastic! Do you make the square and then cut to triangles and your placement into rows? (Did that make sense? lol)

Have made lots of strings but never thought to "line them down",,,,very interesting thought.....will be thinking all day about this one.....
