I've used alcohol on other things besides a quilt, (never tried it on a quilt),
but if you attempt it, I would use a Q-tip on one itsy-bitsy place
or even better,
take a scrap of the same white fabric and do a "do-over" like on those forensic shows on tv.
In other words, mark the press and seal and sew over a scrap and then try the alcohol on it, BEFORE you try it on your project.
I've had a lot of success getting marker out with alcohol, but would hate to hear that it smeared or something.
I wouldn't even try it on colored fabric though. It would probably take out the dye

I finally gave this quilt to my sister and even remembered to snap a few pics before it left the house. There was no sign of the ink after I washed it. What didn't wash out was the yellow chalk I used to mark my straight lines. Go figure! I have never marked my quilting lines before; most likely won't be marking them again anytime soon.
