Haha. I have a bandaid on my index finger from too many pricks yesterday. I went to purchase some different thimbles today b/c my nails are sore. I got one that I think I am going to really enjoy b/c it will work like my thumb nail pushing the needle up. I also got one of the leather ones which I will prolly use on my left index finger. I'll let you know.

I love the Thimble-It for applique and for the hand that goes under the quilt when I'm quilting. For my right hand (I'm a right handed sewer) I use a wonderful metal thimble that is open and made so that the fingernail is free. I bought mine at Joann's. I have long nails and the traditional thimbles are very uncomfortable but this open one is perfect and very comfortable.
