    Default Substitution for duo fuse?

I visited a new to me quilt shop today and found a tote basket pattern from Freeport Maine ( ah memories) that is constructed using duo fuse instead of clothesline with a Hoffman Bali jelly roll.
the quilt shop did not have any duo fuse and it seems that many on line stores don't have any either.
the instructions state that it pellin fleece is used then I need to double the layers- which means more cutting.
can anyone recommend a substitute for duo fuse that will only need one layer?
thanks again- I know someone out there has the answer!

Where is the new store in the OC?? I have a friend and we like shopping occasionally since there are not many LQS where we live. So many of the LQS have closed over the years.

It was a new store to me in Grand Terrace called Bluebird Quilts & Gallery. The store is small but packed with beautiful fabrics. The store is open Monday through Friday, closed on Saturdays but open on Sunday's . The owner specializes in watercolor quilts and several on display- just beautiful.

Bluebird Quilts is a great store! Very relaxed atmosphere. They also have a large selection of Kaffe fabrics. The owner and employees are so nice, and always willing to help.
