    A friend of mine made a Baltimore Album applique wall hanging using ultrasuede (washable suede) on dupioni silk. It was absolutely stunning.

    In some places she curved back and tacked petals and leaves, and other features of the quilt to make it 3-D. She embellished components with different textured flosses, many of them overdyed.

    make baby shoes!!! machine washable, can't go wrong.
