If that does not work, add hanging sleeves to all 4 sides and insert dowel rods into the pockets and whip stitch it into submission.

Also, get rid of the hanging wire, that might be a part of the problem.
    This is terrific advice!

I'd go with the dowel rod at the bottom. Make sure the rod reaches all the way to each end otherwise that won't do the trick either.

I like this phrase, "whip stitch it into submission". ;-)

Buy some lathing (sp?) it's wood that's about ¼" thick and about 1 ½" wide, this is what I use so that the wallhanging lays flat against the wall not lumped out with the rounded dowel. For small wallhangings I drill a hole in either end of the lathing, put a couple nails in the wall & just slip the wallhanging onto it so there is no hanging wire showing. Add another hanging sleeve to the bottom of the wallhanging and insert the 2nd piece of lathing. Good luck, as it is a very cute wallhanging!

I personally would not worry about it. It's not that obvious from the front. If you can't live with it like it is, I like the idea of putting hanging sleeves on top and bottom and inserting the dowels, top one to hang on (get rid of the wire!), and the bottom one to hold it straight.

There is a fabric casing on the back with a wood rod through it. The wire is attached to the wood. Suspect that some may be confused about this. :)

I had a similar problem with a wall hanging a while back. It irritated me something terrible until I hit on the idea of 'bluetacking' it along the bottom. Worked a treat - velcro or double sided tape would work also. Good luck - love the hanging.

I add these type of "pockets" to all quilts that I will be hanging, I do them on all four corners the top to hand and the bottom to keep it straight. Then you just add a dowl rod to each pocket and you are good to go!

Scroll to the bottom of the blog entry for the picture of the back of the quilt and see the triangles in the top two corners! I add them before machine stitching the binding on the front and then go about binding as usual!
