    Default Superior Titanium Coated needles

After reading about these needles on here I decided to give them a try but I had a question. If I change my ordinary needle for every 8 hours use, I change them every alternative bobbin refill when using the 50 weight Aurifil how often would I have to change the titanium one so I emailed Superior, WOW what a company I had this reply withing 48 hours!

"The titanium coating on our Topstitch needles keeps needles sharper 5-8 time longer than a standard needle and can be used for 50 hours of sewing. You can see the difference in wear after 50 hours of a standard needle and a titanium coated needle in this http://www.superiorthreads.com/media...nfographic.jpg

Please let us know if you have further questions, we're happy to help!"

Naturally I will now be using their needles for everything from now on, with that sort of customer service it would be stupid not to

Fantastic! I changed my needle to one of those aaaages ago, and it hasn't even crossed my mind to change it! They might be slightly more expensive to buy, but if you can get that kind of use out of them it's totally worth it! I think I bought them when I also bought some of their invisible thread and they recommended that you use those needles. I wouldn't normally pay much attention to that kind of recommendation, but I was concerned about using the invisible thread because I'd read it could be tricksy, but there were no issues whatsoever! I always use their king tut thread for quilting as well! I must be a little bit in love with Superior! Haha!

I've been using Superior's needles for several years and never have the problems others have complained about on the board such as quilting with batik piecing on the top and batik as the backing.

The #90 topstitch needle goes through the quilt sandwich like a hot knife through butter. When I do decorative stitching with Rainbows and Bottom Line in the bobbin, the stitching is absolutely beautiful.

I love Superior's thread and their needles!

My machine is a Husqvarna 875Q.

They are the only sewing machine needles I use. I love the thread too. Bottom Line is my favorite bobbin thread.

Give their So Fine! thread a try, as well. You can get an inexpensive 'sample' spool, which is an full sized spool but they choose the color.

Sew Fine is a great thread. I stock up whenever there is a sale on either one.

Hiya, You can get them from Amazon and EBay but I prefer to buy from Barnyarns as they also stock a good range of threads, hope this helps. http://www.barnyarns.co.uk/superior-titanium-needles/
