Default It sure pays to speak up and ask. LOL

I went to several estate sales in my area this morning and the last one had a yard sale next door . I walked over and noticed a few sewing notions for sale. I asked if there were more sewing items for sale, I always ask if I see any at all. The woman said no but the lady next to me said I have two sewing machines in my car I'm taking to the thrift shop. You are welcome to them if you want them. I said I'll look at them if you don't mind. she had two featherweights! One is the 'white one and the other the black one. They looked nice . I said these are worth a lot. She said maybe to a sewer but not to me. I offered to pay her but she said no just take them. I'm donating one for a raffle at our guild and keeping one for my granddaughter.

She said they belonged to her uncle who use to have a workshop in his basement Why he had them she didn't know. He had lots of old model trains sets set up.

Oh and at the first estate sale I bought a small Singer 185K with case and accessories. I think I like it better then the Featherweight.

    That is simply unbelievable!!! WOW
So nice of you to make some money for your guild and your granddaughter will enjoy the other one.
I'm saving one of mine for my little one.
BTW- I like the black ones better than my white one. What about you? My blacks just sew nicer.

    What?!!!
    That's incredible. Congratulations!

My Grandma always used to say: "If you don't ask, the answer is no.", so I'm like you. I always ask the question, just in case!

What a find! I am sure the woman thinks to herself that you saved her some time and gas because these mean nothing to her.
Like you I always ask and have been blessed with several nice vintage machines.

I already had a white featherweight so don't need another. I like the black ones better too. The white seems a little finicky. I know the white one will bring more money at the raffle. I saved the black one to give to my only granddaughter and she'll get my white one too.

Something good or really unexpected usually happens to me. I think it's because I expect good and fun things to come my way. Sometimes my friends will say what just happened ? Can you believe this? What do you mean that man just gave us two tow sacks of corn? She had that in the back of the shop? We always have an adventure even just meeting for lunch.

Wow! That's amazing. Great idea to ask about other items. I hadn't thought about that before, but will remember it for future.
