I've done the 2.5" and 3" hsts with the tube method, it's fast and easy, although anything larger, there is a fair amount of waste, and I haven't found the "magic" number.

Magic 8 slightly oversized and then cut down.

    Triangulations - https://www.bearpawproductions.com/s...php?cat=1&ID=2

I purchased version 3 over 4 years ago and have used it quite a bit. It's fast, no trimming and easy. I can just print out the size I need when I need it.

Thangles and T-Sheets make it easy to make a large number of 1/2 square triangles in a short amount of time and I think they use less fabric then some of the other methods

Thanks to all that responded. I learned a lot of new ways to make HST. i decided to try the Easy Angle ruler which I've had for years and never used. My HST's came out perfect.

I love Thangles and then the Bloc Loc rulers to square them. Perfection!

Thangles or free HST paper (google it as I don't remember the website).
