    Suggestions please!!!

    I'm planning to make it to every stop in the "Yours to Discover Shop Hop" during July. For some of it, I will do day trips from home. Some I'll do as part of my "holidays" and stay away a night or two (or more?).

    So please do tell me about the features of these stores, and perhaps other LQS or things of interest that may be in the vicinity.

    * Alice's Quilt Shoppe, Erin
    * Country Patchworks, Woodstock
    * Creative Sisters Quilt Studio, Kitchener
    * Hyggligt Fabrics, London
    * Lilac Lane Quilts, Alliston
    * Quilt Junction, Waterford
    * The Quilt Place, Shakespeare
    * The Quilt Shoppe, Sarnia
    * Undercover Quilts and More, Fergus

    Thanks for your help, in planning my Quilter's Holiday!!! :)

    Thanks ... I will definitely add Cherished Pieces to the list!

    For anyone else interested in batiks .... I was in Triangle Sewing in Guelph yesterday and I don't think I have ever seen so so many batiks at once. It was unbelievable! :)

    The Marsh Store in Cold Stream, just out side of London/ Ilderton area. It is a wonderful store and the owner is fabulous.

    I wasn't even aware there was a Shop Hop in our area. Thanks for the information. I just checked out the website and I am going print off the list. Not sure if I will make it to them during July, but I will keep it for future reference. There used to be a beautiful store in Hyde Park, which is also just outside of London. I just tried to find their information, but didn't have any luck, maybe it is no longer operating. Have fun on your road trips and be sure to let us see what you bring home.
    I think the name of the Exeter store is Quilts and Calicos.

    Here's the link if anyone needs it:
    http://www.thequiltshoppe.ca/schedul...opPassport.pdf

    Other area shops:
    http://www.reichards.com/ - St Jacob's - it's been a while since I was able to pop in here, but have ordered online through them and friends in this area speak very highly of the shop

    http://www.cotton-by-post.com/ - Arva - just north of London, just follow Richmond St north from Maisonville mall - a few miles north to their shop. Was just here a few weeks ago - gorgeous batiks, lots of inspiration; also carry yarns

    If you make it a little farther west, Ridgetown has a very :
    nice little shop - Sitting Pretty :
    http://www.sittingprettyquiltfabrics.com
    The owners of this shop are wonderful - and they work had at carrying very affordable fabrics.

    This page has sponsors of the Chatham Kent Quilters Guild:

    Enjoy!

    Threads, Lindy and LindaM ... Thanks for the extra spots!!

    Another when in St. Jacobs is a fabric store at The Crossroads, between St. Jacobs market and village. Also a great place to eat plus a large gift shop.

    MamaBear ... not sure how the nine stores are promoting it beyond if you happen to be in their stores. And being that two are my LQS, that's how I found out!

    The link has the brochure that I picked up at my LQS.

    Any other suggestions re quilt things? or other things/places to visit? And food ideas, are always helpful!!! :)
