Sweatshirt turn jacket

Just do as you described and you will have it made. They are trully easy and fast. I removed the cuffs of the sweat shirt because I don't like the tight fit around the wrists. But it is yours so you do what you want.

I have made some of these and have the following recommendation...to cut down the middle, first draw a line down the center of sweatshirt, sew stay-stitching on each side of line and then cut apart on the line. If taking off neck line or bottom of sweatshirt, I also stay stitch before cutting off, it keeps the sweatshirt from stretching out of shape.

I didn't have a pattern I cut mine down the front left collar piece on used heat and bond to turn under front piece or you can stitch down I then remove bottom ribbing enough to add pocket I made mine tiangled sticthed the 2 ends plced ribbing back on then all done. Been making them for years!!! Great gifts

I have mAde several of these over the years and they are easy. I am not a super seamtress either!. I was forntunate to find a bin of sweatshirts last year and picked one up for $5. what a bargain.
I always try sew4home.com and search for any patterns I might need. happy stitching.

I have a pattern where you make collars to attach. I have square, round and ruffled versions and am happy to share. PM me if you are interested. Please also understand that my son moved home and I lost my sewing room so it may take me a bit of time to find the patterns.
