There is a Yahoo group for the sit down machine. If you search HQ 16 Handi-Quilter Sit-Down Table Model Yahoo Group you will find it.

About all the reviews I have read say don't bother with the stitch regulator. Some have said if you put it in a stand up frame it might work better. I don't have one and do fine.

I also have the Tiara - when I bought it the dealer threw in the stitch regulator since I bought a floor model. I have tried it but prefer quilting without it. I would not spend the extra money.

I have the Sweet 16 and the regulator but only rarely use it.

I tried to simplify the explaination for my friend this way: If you use a longarm, you are moving a machine with the stitch regulator on the machine...the moving part. If you are using the sit down machine, you become the stitch regulator, you are the moving part. Therefore, the stitch regulator is a redundant system...a moving part on a moving part. You are already moving the fabric....you attach the regulator to tell you that you are moving the fabric. LOL! Everyone knows...practice, practice , preactice!
