    What a bummer for sure! Maybe you can play with the fabric by using the time for planning and layout, and do some reading about quilting, like one of Jennifer Chiaverini's books. My sewing foot was laid up last year for surgery, so I planted myself on the couch with a lot of reading, oh, and income tax preparation. How exciting-NOT!
