    I totally agree with not disrupting the impact of the colour flow, as well as a dark thin (I think Navy would be fabulous, satisfying the need for dark as well as pulling from the colours in the quilt) first and then more colour blocks and finishing with the navy again. LOOKS GREAT! I would love to do one exactly like this!

    Thanks - I love the navy idea and thought that something like that would frame the color blocks without lessening the impact of the color.

    I would use borders. I don't think I'd like the sashing between the blocks.

    I vote for your #2 option. I agree...those blocks all together look wonderful...maybe sashing would dilute the effect.

    If you look at my first 9-patch picture, you will notice how black can make bright colors stand out. I really like the colors on your project especially the blues

    I love your layout and your blocks, it's just gorgeous without sashing. And I really like your ideas of smaller blocks in an outer border, that might be brilliant!
