    Hi,

When making a table cloth any ideas what i can put on the back to keep it from moving and sliding to much off the table?

I have made several table runners like mini quilts an haven't had a problem with slipping. I would make it the usual way with batting and backing. If it's a problem pick up a roll of the cushioned shelf lining and roll a stretch of it.

I have used flannel as the batting and found it gave the piece enough weight to keep it in place.

If you've ever used flannel back tablecloths you know they don't slide. The weight of the fabric on top of the flannel will prevent slide. If you have any like others have mentioned the non sliding shelving works fine. That being said, if the table you're going to put it on gets little use like mainly family holiday gatherings and weeks at a time go by, be sure to check table often, especially if wooden. The nonskid shelving will mark especially if in a humid environment.

I make table quilts and use batting and backing the same as I do for a bed quilt. They do not slip and slide.
