    Default table runners

    Do you put batting in a table runner? I never have, always just the back and front and that's it. I've been told I should put something in there, at least a thickness of cotton.

    I always have, mostly out of habit. I like the look but if you prefer the thinner flatter look, go for it! Shouldn't hurt.

    Not sure why this thread was posted twice...
    Did you ask this person why they thought you should put something in there? They may have a good reason that hadn't occurred to you yet, or they may just be the quilt police. Either way, it's YOUR choice. There are no rules.
