Default Tae Kwon Do Quilt Pattern

I've been looking for a pattern to make a Tae Kwon Do quilt. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find one, or ideas on what I can do? I'm considering the "Around the World" quilt pattern, but am open to other suggestions.

What is a Tae Kwon Do quilt? I searched and saw that USA Taekwondo has partnered with Quilts for Kids, is that what you mean? If so, QFK has patterns on their web site.

My daughter owns and operates a Tae Kwon Do studio. I would also be interested in an appropriate quilt pattern.

With a son who takes TaeKwonDo, I am also interested in this subject. So, I did a quick search and found this site. Both quilts displayed here are very good options for TaeKwonDo quilt, I think anyway.

Another thought would be to do applique of a silhouette of a person doing a kick on a block. Would be fun to do one of the person you are making the quilt for instead of a general one found on the internet. The background could be the different colors of belts that they have achieved and some how include the date of achievement in the block or in the quilting of this block.

    Hope this helps you out.

Why not make a variation of a HST and squares to form the shape of a tied karate belt? Make one in each color (white, yellow, orange, purlple, blue, red, etc.) Make a large black belt and place it in the center? You'd have to play with the size, layout, and picky details but it might work.

I like your idea, and thank you for the suggestion! I'll have to think about it a bit, and play around with the details, but it just may work. I'm not quite sure how I will arrange the half square triangles and squares to make the belts yet, but I think it's definitely doable. Thanks again!

It's a theme for a quilt I would like to make. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean form of martial arts, and I would like to make an appropriate quilt - just looking for ideas on potential patterns. Yes, I saw the quilts for kids quilts you referred to, and those won't do. Thank you anyway. I appreciate your response.

Nothing out there, really. If I come up with a pattern, I could put it on this site. If you want, you could send me your e-mail address and I could send it to you that way, too.
