My word, how long does one have to "store" their stash for this to happen...sounds more like hoarding to me.

I have fabric that I've owned for over 10 yrs. I don't think I'm a hoarder though (not in the true sense of the word-I do joke that I am). I don't have fabric stacked wall to wall or all over the floor or anything. I just have fabric I bought years and years ago and either haven't found what I want to use it for or forgot I had it because it was buried under something else.

To Donna/ Up North: Hmmmm..must be the manager's dictate. Our JA has given them to me. Maybe I should bring you some when we come up to the light station next time? Let me know, so I can start saving them. (DH will think I am crazy!......Oh, never mind, he already knows that)

i guess for some of us it's hard to think of having so much fabric that long term storage would be a concern. I have a fair amount, but i have neither the space or funds for the fabric purchases I read about here. I don't begrudge anyone what they have or what they do with it. it's just hard to wrap my mind around it.

To tell you the truth I wish I hadn't bought all that fabric back then and had just bought enough to get me through a while and then bought more. Live and learn. I guess it's not all bad now though, since prices are going up. I didn't really seem to learn though, because I keep buying (but to be fair, I usually buy now for a project where I don't have quite enough of the right fabric for it).

    Nice job!
Somewhere I just read an article about making your own little cardboards for folding fabric.
