Tee Shirt quilt
My sister wants to make a tee shirt quilt for her diabetic teenage grandson. What stabilizer or pellon do you recommend and why? I saw on Nancy Zieman that one of her guests recommended knit type. I looked it up online and saw that it is rather expensive. Is there a good alternative?
Also, any suggestions or tips on making the quilt?

Many people like knit, others like super-lightweight fusible. It's pretty much half-and-half. It just depends on what's available and what you like. I've made lots of t-shirt quilts and have used both. I am not particular to one or the other. I use what's on sale. For my tutorial, I used a lightweight Pellon. It works great. You might want to search the board for "t-shirt quilt" - there's been a LOT of talk about this lately, and you'll find lots of great tips.

I used NON-Woven fusible Pellon...it does not stretch and holds the tees and keeps them from stretching. It made it so easy to cut and sew. Someone sent me a really good tute...I will see if I can find it. It really helped a lot...or maybe she will see this and send it. HOPE
