    Great ideas everyone. I made three flannel quilts for my sons and years ago. Forgot about that. Thanks all.

    When my nephew went off to college, I made a rag quilt for him out of denim backed with flannel. I cut up old jeans from all the family for the denim squares; he had a little piece of family with him all the time!
