Last fall I finished a quilt for my Mom (see my avatar). My local longarm quilter needed by a certain date if I expected it to be finished by Christmas. As soon as I talked to her I went shopping for the backing fabric. I needed white on white fabric, and of course I couldn't find any.

I went to http://www.equilter.com whom I've ordered from many times. They had what I wanted so I immediately ordered it. It arrived in 3 days :!: BUT they sent the ivory on ivory backing. This never happens, they always get it right.

I was in a real panic. I needed to deliver the quilt in 3 days. I called equilter and explained the problem. They couldn't have been nicer. They apologized profusely, and overnighted the correct fabric to me, and sent me a pre-paid envelope to return the wrong fabric at my convenience. They saved the day. They always wrap your fabric in printed tissue...so it's like opening a present.

I also just received an order from http://www.craftconn.com today. I placed the order on Saturday and here is shows up on Wednesday--great service.

I've also had very fast service from http://www.overrainbow.com

I've had very fast service from http://www.keepsakequilting.com too.

I love Fabric.com - never had a problem. They recently sent me a "Happy Anniversary" Email saying it's been two years since your first order and gave me a 20% off coupon. So needless to say, as soon as I get my April allowance (tomorrow!!)it will be spent ;)

Only other place I've used is Ebay, and never had to return anything yet.

I recently needed to find some bluebonnet fabric and had great service from creations of kerrville. The fabric is a Michael Miller and beautiful. I'm incorporating it into a baby quilt for a friend from texas. She loves the fabric.

I have been ordering online for a couple of years now; and have had great luck with fabrics, quilt books, and other items. Those orders have been through online quilt shops and Ebay,....even getting some books through used book sites. It has proven to be a wonderful and money saving experience for me.

http://www.sewezdesigns.com/ I've had very good experiences with Sue. Fast shipping, and excellent communication if she has a question about the order.

Nice to see some of the "independents" getting thumbs up!

I have had many. Most of my Ebay experiences have been wonderful. I got my product very quickly and it was just what I wanted. Sew Vac Direct shipped my quilting frame in just a few days. I was ready to wait a couple weeks for it. Great job on their part. Connecting threads is always wonderful. Their kits come with enough extra fabric that if you make a mistake you are just fine. I even had enough to add extra touches to my backing. Most of mine have been wonderful.
