Template question
#11
I use templates to do my shortcuts. I can make units that take less time to piece and I can do smaller piecing with my methods.
You sew fabrics together and then cut out a square from the center with a template.

We learned to quilt the old way years ago. Now they have something for everything. I think it just depends on how much you want to spend. FOr example, jelly rolls, turnovers, charm packs. There's a template for everything. Once youg et the main ones, all the others are just "specials" with a little extra marking, etc. Anything to get our money LOL. Templates have made life a lot easier.

I'm new and this may sound just plain dumb, but I am getting the impression that for a simple square, I do not need a template only my, rotary board and or my omnigrid ruler is this right?
Very simple suggestions and walk through advice would be most helpful and appreciated.
