I am fairly new to quilting and want to take him up on this offer but need to know what are the most popular used sizes and shapes.
Thanks for the help everyone.

You are so lucky!!! Take advantage while you can. If I were you, my first would be a 60 degree triangle as I am having a hard time finding one myself and you need that if you ever want to do a hexagon one block wonder quilt. Also a long 6.5 by 24 for the WOF cutting.

What a nice dad! Perhaps have him make a 6-1/2" square, some circles if you want to do them, and any "odd" ones for special projects: hexagon, tumbler, trapezoid, flower petals and circle, feathered star ones.
*Another use would be to make "bottoms" to insert into a handmade bag/purse. Those seem to be popular.
Have fun!

Oh my gosh! If I was offered this I would totally get some degree rulers! I really want to get them but $28 for one? Sigh, that's nuts! I'm thinking of making them out of cardboard!!
I would totally get some degree rulers made for me - you are so lucky to have someone that is skilled to do that for you.
