    This morning I:
    1.took the needle out and put it back in - still had the problem.
    2.rethreaded. Still had the problem.
    3.put in a new bobbin. Eureka! problem solved. I guess I'll have to throw out those prethreaded bobbins, because that's what I was using!

    None of my Pfaffs like prewound bobbins, even the ones my dealer sells. They're picky sometimes!
