So I am trying to make the tessellating pinwheels and need a little help. I haven't sewn my blocks together yet even. I have 10 different colors. 3 greens dark medium and almost yellow. 4 blues light to dark. And 3 browns light medium and dark as well. Anyways does it matter how I sew my squares together? Should I alternate lights and darks? Or do I just alternate the colors and not worry about the shades? Does it matter too match? I don't have a pattern, just winging it. Anyways if anyone has any pointers I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks :)

When I made mine I tried to just place the blocks so that there is lots of contrast.
