    It looks to me like the decals on that Red Eye are in great shape for the age of the machine. The cabinet looks to be a very sturdy one and probably will clean up beautifully. If you have wanted a red eye, go for it. If not, pass it up, it is your decision to make. I have a hard time turning down any nice vintage machine.

    It's a nice machine but if you are trying to downsize buying it wouldnt be the way to accomplish that!

    The cabinet is a beauty. You couldn't give me a Singer 66 machine. Not my cup of tea at all.
    What do you mean "trick out", is is because it sews both electric and or treadle? I never seen one do that! I kinda wondered on this.
    No :lol: I was referring to the fancy decals. The Redhead / Red Eye decals.

    OK,here goes. I have never been attracted to the old machines except for the antique aspect but...the machine pictured has a great long harp. If the price is right, even I would be tempted to purchase this one. You would have to pay seriously big bucks to get a new machine with a harp like this one. If it would be inexpensive to get it in working order that is.

    I vote buy it;
    I passed on a machine, no idea what it was, friend called regarding it, should have at least looked at it. Passed on a FW table for $25 should have bought it.
    No room here for either but probably could have found someone to take either.

    Look at it this way --- if you didn't really want it you would never have posted your question on the board. You want it, your DH won't stay mad for long, you can find a spot to put it and the price is more than right! Go for it ..............
