I saw a reference to a Texas Star using a Hexagon by Marti Mitchell. Unfortunately, there was no picture.

There is a large Lone Star, and a small Lone Star, but neither one has a hexogon in the center.

I know what you are talking about...my MIL made one and I would LOVE to have it...my SIL has it on her bed. I don't even have a pic of it. It turns out lovely, I hope you can find it.

Is this what you are talking about? So far I've found a picture but not a pattern, I'll keep looking.

Here's a pattern, but it's hard to see if the stars are right. It may be... Hope this helps.

The Dolly Madison has a 9-patch in the center:

If you know anyone who has an old copy of Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork & Quilting August 2003 issue 63 there is a pattern for the Lone Star which is the same as the Texas Lone Star. I'm making one from that right now.
