Those are happy chickens. As for the pattern, I believe the style here is called "Tessellations" and there are some books available on those blocks. You may want to check Amazon for one of them in your language.

Gracias Merriane, he estado en EE UU del 29 de octubre al 9 de noviembre, tres días en New York , cuatro en Philadelphia, mundo Amish y 3 días más en Houston en la Exposición Mundial de Patchwork, vengo encantada, teneis un país extraordinario y todo me pareció encantador. Me lo hubiera comprado todo.... pero el avión.... y el peso.... en fin estoy encantada con todo lo que viví y de pertenecer a este foro, gracias...........
