    I'm glad you got it and not somebody looking to resell it on e-bay or craigslist for bucu bucks. I got a singer 185J for $4.00 at a local thrift store a few weeks ago. Congrats!

    That is a beautiful machine. You can never go wrong with a Bernina.

    We don't have a Goodwill here, but I did try a few in Vegas, and was shocked at the prices. And Salvation Army thought they were Macy's. We have a thrift store out here that also thinks everything they have is golden. I found a few sewing machines there that were old and dirty and they wanted 60 to 80 bucks each. These were not sought after brands or models, they were junky ones. I told the gal that they were way overpriced.
