I agree. The border is the problem. It just doesn't "go" with the other fabric. The koi are amazing. Love that fabric. Great job. And I also agree with everyone else that a little quilting and you have an even greater work of art!

This is not ugly. Maybe you could applique some blocks to put in the white corners. I think the white is what is throwing you off. Maybe a differnt color there?

It's not ugly, it's unique. That will be nice once it's quilted, and someone can snuggle under it and dream of beautiful ponds!

I agree here - this will be wonderful after the quilting, I bet Charisma would have an idea as soon as she saw it. Wish I had her talant and creativity. I think large fish motifs quilted through each corner extending into the main focus fabric would pull it all together. Hope we can see the final results!

Your quilt is beautiful. Most men like fish and the fish are probably the only thing they will see in the quilt. Don't change a thing.

It's not ugly, it's unfinished. The corners need to be filled with something related to the bigger fish. Not necessarily fish, mind you. The plants you would find in the pond, small frogs, etc. I think those fish are just gorgeous. No ugly quilt there.

It is not ugly!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and thank God we are all so different and each of sees things in different ways. The colors are beautiful, the piece is beautiful and the reason for making it is beautiful. Someone will be very fortunate in receiving this quilt. I like the fish and colors. To describe your quilt in one word.................'BEAUTIFUL' ok two words and "LOVING"

You call that ugly???? I love the color usage. Perhaps a border of gold.
I applaud you, if your giving this quilt to a firefighter. They saved our forest and our homes during the large Wallow fire in AZ
