I'm so hooked on paper piecing! I'm ready to put on a final border...don't want a plain one...just want to paper piece one. Am I nuts?

If you pp it and put it on a border, then it's a pp border.

I know that there are some patterns on rolls and for a border you can either use a roll, or do segments and sew them together.

Sure you can pp borders. I have a few patterns that call for it. The ones I have patterns for are the very spiky sawtooth type. You can also do NYBeauty in a border. I am working on one now with half mariners compass with a 3/4 one in the corners. There is no reason you can't do a border of pp blocks.

sure paper pieced borders are all over the place, even flying geese border strips on paper...lots of them. i have made star blocks (Carol Doak 50 state stars) then used the same patterns in mini formats (took 12" blocks and copied them at 4" blocks) and made my border with the same stars, just smaller...i know people who paper piece everything...fun fun!

Paper piecing is rather delightful isn't it! Let me know how the PP border goes, I might have to try it eventually! :)
