The only way I probably could keep track of all of the little sewing tools is to hook each and every one of them up to those little coiled plastic expandable cords
like our school secretary used to attach her pens to her desk so that the teachers wouldn't walk off with them...lol...Naomi

Please don't do that. When all the cords tangle together, you'll be wishing things were just lost and not tied up!

should we send cards when both of you report to the hospital with extra holes in your bodies?

At least that is what would happen to me!

For Christmas last year a dear friend gave me a small caddy with lots of pockets and it is the nicest gadget I have. It hold sissors, small rullers, seam ripper and every other thing and stays on the edge of my table. Now, or at least most of the time, everything is just an arms length away.

I have multiples of everything and still can't find what I'm looking for!!. I do know that my two cats love to swipe small items off any flat surface. It's so much easier to blame them rather than my memory

That's ok we have to blame something or someone. Of course I like to say senior moment then I feel better.

Maybe with an elastic cord, so it can reach wherever you want it to...
I have 'paper' scissors attached with elastic so they don't walk away by themselves. I've come home from a day or two away and found the elastic cut, and no scissors to be found.
