http://www.mapleleafpromotions.com/Pen_Holders.html You could put the end of a seam ripper in that.
Those look great & cost effective. I see sewing group prezzies fpr my sewing group. Wonder if I can find them at an office supply.

    You may be onto something!

We used to have a little dog that stole my sisters pencils, pens, eraser and anything else that was small and he could get his teeth into them. We would hunt and hunt for stuff and he had hidden them away somewhere.

Funny, I've got one of those too. I made a quilt six months ago, and, before I put it in the machine for quilting, cut the binding, coiled it neatly and . . . it's gone! I kept hoping that it would show up but have given up and will cut another binding today.

I bought a magnetic knife rack and attached it to the wall next to my sewing machine. It's magic!

I really wish I could help you, but I have a similar black hole in my sewing area, as small as it is, the sewing area, not the stash. I can use a pr. of scissors or a seam ripper, put it down and it vanishes. I sympathize - as soon as you buy a new one, you will find the old one. I did this once with the clear cover over the bobbin case on my sewing machine, went into town, and picked one up at the dealer. A few days later, I found the old one, clear anything on my carpet disappeared into the blackhole, or should I say on top of it. Good luck.
