    I sometimes wonder, as I complicate a pattern beyond belief, why I tend to think that simple is less effective!? It also helps to be very sure of the recipient's tastes. But hey, they like it and that is why you made it so it is all good.

    Maybe your quilting is so fantastic that they just love being able to see every detail of it. I usually love the backs of my hand quilted quilts the best, my machine one's, not so much. I'm sure they love it and appreciate all of your efforts no matter how they use it.

    Sorry I had to laugh! It's like the commercial where the baby is playing with the box instead of the present. My dog loves her toys, but give her the lid off a spray can and she's in heaven.

    i have a vest similar to your description and i love it. i wear it just about every year.
