On the positive side. They like it. They are using it.

I have always loved the back of quilts. I know that sounds awful and I do appreciate the front, but sometimes the quilting is soooo beautiful I just like to look at it.

It's a compliment to your quilting skills. Sometimes I like my quilt backs better, too.

Give them time, they'll want a change in a year or two and then the top of tree skirt will be the crowning touch to the tree once again, just like the back is now. Sounds beautiful, please remember to post pics.
Merry Christmas and enjoy your visit with your family.

TOO, TOO funny for words! Bet they are young, and will come to appreciate your harder work in time.

reminds me of the pieced basket quilt I made for new SIL, she only shows the back of the quilt.. She apparently doesn't like patchwork. She thanked me for bedspread. <sigh>

I appreciate all your hard work making that tree skirt. I long arm quilted 2 of those tree skirts made withthe 9 degree ruler and the person who pieced them also said it was VERY time consuming. But those tree skirts were absolutely gourgeous and I can understand that you would be disappointed after putting all that work into it and then they use it with the back side showing!
