To all of you who have quilts being shown featuring the back side, are you planning on making another quilt for these relatives, friends that is a whole cloth? Or are you planning on giving them another quilt at all? Or what?

I once made a miniature tumbler quilt for my mother to put on her bed in the nursing home. She, too, liked the back with large roses best. I had to rationalize that the rose was her favorite flower and they were large enough for her to see them
    easily.

I have gotten comments like that too. Kinda makes you wonder why you put in all that work. It also helps me with decisions about the next gifts for that person. Just know that they DO appreciate it, even tho' they may not understand how much work you put in it. It is a gift from the heart and that is what is important. Some day they WILL understand.

Isn't it nice to know it is loved? Even if it is the back side.

I gave a log cabin tree skirt to my SIL. The back is just plain red. She uses it with the back up. Go figure!

Try again. I'd love to see what they thought was so special about the backing!

Reminds me of the wall hanging I gave my son-in-law for his birthday. Lots of applique, He hung it in the bathroom showing the back side, using nails. I had a pocket for hanging on it & a label on the back. When I asked him why he hung it back side showing, he said he wanted everyone to know who made it. I was so angry about the nails I was afraid to mention them.
