I told my husband that the next time he goes to Harbor freight to look for the rotary cutter blades (carpet cutting blades to him), so he came home with 18 blades for me. Today I tried one on a stack and whack and after 4-5 cuts I changed it back to my Olfa blade....what a difference. I felt like I was cutting carpet with that first blade.

What is your experience with these?...I thought I read only good things about them on here. ? ?

I looked last night (when I went to Hobby Lobby & stopped at Harbor Freight) they didn't have any round blades and looked at me like I was nuts (well it is Kentucky and it was snowing so "why" was I out?)

The blades do not last long at all. I found that after I cut a few things out, it skips alot. Also if you cut any batting, be prepared to throw the blade out after the first cut. Just my experience so far.

Mine started skipping after a few cuts, too.

I ordered 2 packages because everyone spoke so highly of them...I haven't used them yet, so I can't comment.

I'm really surprised to hear this! They are made to cut LOTS of thick carpet. Seems like they would cut fabric like butter!!!

I think the problem is that it is made to be put in a carpet cutter which you put all your weight on to cut the carpet. I think it is definitely sharper but loses that sharpness really fast if not alot of pressure is applied to them. Just my thoughts!!!

I use them & I like them. I have had no skipping & I just changed to my second one this week. I have cut out alot of fabric. I gave 2 packs to my quilting girl friend & she is still using the 1st blade, no problems. Loves them.
Really don't know why they would cut any different then the olfa ones, they seem to be the same blade.
I would suggest that you at least try one package of them & determine if you like them. Some times people use them differently, not holding them straight etc.

Maybe they work better in some rotary cutters than others.
