many of you contacted me after seeing my sandhill crane quilt- wanting me to draw up that pattern-
i've gone through lots in the past few months and have not (gotten around to ) doing anything about these requests---
well the other day i was browsing through a book...

WILD BIRDS designs for Applique & Quilting by Carol Armstrong---
on pages 28-29 is my crane!
(well- not my crane- but one so close Carol would think i stole it if she saw it!)
it is on a smaller scale=but certainly could be enlarged
i'm guessing they are so amazingly similar because we probably both used a picture of a crane- but when i saw it-it took my breath away (Carol- if you are here---i really didn't steal it ;) ) probably doesn't matter much anyhow- i didn't sell the quilt or anything- it was a gift- and i've not sold my pattern---
so anyhow- anyone wanting a great crane???find Carols book :thumbup:

I am glad you posted this as I had missed your original posting with the picture. Had to go back and find it. It was gorgeous!

I loved the monochromatic blocks you used to frame the crane as well.
